Fashion Visual Art Residence will create in one visual context liberty of individual talents in synergy and harmony

The Fashion Visual Art Residence (FVAR) will be held in the frame of the 2nd Young Designers Contest. FVAR is a project aiming to adopt and develop the practice of collaborative creation of fashion visual content. The unique value of FVAR visual content will be created through the combination of looks of young designers from different countries with creative perspective and authentic ideas of young photographers. The FVAR outcome is a special offline and online fashion-photo exposition, as the modern-art object of intercultural exchange. The Curator of FVAR is the Professor, Creative Director of IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, Giovanni Ottonello.

Finalists of the 2nd International Young Designers Contest, in groups with young photographers from Moldova and Ukraine, will create fashion stories with ideas to present diversity of fashion looks created by young designers from 10 countries, in a way the liberty of individual talents and expressions are not conflicting and fighting for attention, but rather synergy and harmony. In one visual context, it is the story of human society

today: diverse, but tolerant, where individualistic talents are synergized in a multicultural environment.

Best photos will selected from the fashion story of each working group. FVAR photo exhibit will be presented to media and public before the Gala Show. The Curator of FVAR, an expert mentoring photographer, fashion editors of top fashion magazines (Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire) will select the winning work of a young photographer, who will be awarded with the scholarship for a summer course at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design (of his/her choice).
